Indian Valley Reservoir
Indian Valley Reservoir is located about 80 miles north of Sacramento at an elevation of 1,480 feet . The lake has a surface area of 3,800 acres and 41 miles of shoreline. Boating is limited to 10 mph and water-skiing and jet-skis are not permitted although swimming is allowed. There is one improved campground and several unimproved campgrounds located at the lake with RV camping available on the south end. Indian Valley holds a wide variety of fish including Trout, catfish, steelhead, bluegill, crappie, largemouth bass, and smallmouth. Iron Canyon Reservoir
Iron Canyon Reservoir is located approximately 60 miles northeast of Redding at an elevation of 2,700 feet in the beautiful Trinity National Forest. The lake has 15 miles of forested shoreline and 500 surface acres of water. There are two campgrounds located at the lake suitable for tents or RV's (24 foot limit.) Private boats are allowed, however, water-skiing is not permitted. Fishing at Iron Canyon consists of brown and rainbow trout and the angler is often rewarded with quality and quantity fish. Iron Gate Reservoir
Iron Gate Reservoir is located approximately 15 miles northeast of Yreka at an elevation of 2,343 feet on the famous Klamath River. Iron Gate is 7 miles long and contains 825 surface acres of water. There are several small campgrounds located at the lake suitable for tents, RV's, or trailers. Improved launching facilities are available and all boating is permitted but limited to a 10 mph speed restriction in most areas. Boat rentals are available at nearby Copoco Lake store. For the fisherman Iron gate offers an abundance of yellow perch, trout, bass and catfish as well as seasonal runs of salmon and steelhead in the Klamath River. Juanita Lake
Juanita lake is located approximately 40 miles southwest of Klamath Fall along Highway 97 in the beautiful Klamath National Forest at an elevation of 5,150 feet. Juanita has a surface area of 55 acres and two miles of conifer wooded shoreline. The lake has one well maintained campground suitable for tents, trailers, or RV's. Boating is limited to non-powered craft and launching facilities are available. Juanita is well stocked with rainbow and brown trout and also holds a fair population of bass and catfish. Lewiston Lake
Lewiston Lake is located approximately 35 miles west of Redding at an elevation of 1,915 feet with a surface area of 615 acres and 15 miles of shoreline. There are several camping facilities located around the lake accommodating tents of RV's. All boating is permitted with a speed restriction of 10 mph with one improved launch facility. Boat rentals are available at the marina as well as fuel, bait, tackle, and snacks. Lewiston Lake is noted as a big trout lake and also holds a good population of bass, catfish, and bluegill.
